Lauren Davis
Lauren Davis, an Associate of the firm brings a wealth of local and state government experience to provide our clients with innovative solutions in intergovernmental relations.
Prior to joining Mickey Ibarra and Associates, Lauren worked as a Legislative Aide and speechwriter to Texas Senator Royce West where she managed key issues such as health and human services, women's initiatives, environmental policy, poverty and image development. In the Texas Legislature, Lauren fostered key bipartisan relationships to create groundbreaking legislation on adoption and child endangerment laws. Best known for her no-nonsense approach, Lauren is able to offer unique ideas for complex problems.
A veteran campaign operative, Lauren utilized her community outreach and coalition building skills to serve as a Regional Field Organizer for the Hillary Clinton Presidential Campaign. Upon arriving in Washington, Lauren joined the Environmental Defense Fund's National Climate Campaign as its National Field Coordinator. There she helped coordinate a nationwide campaign in pursuit of comprehensive climate change legislation in Congress.
Lauren's initial experience is in municipal government, where she helped grow a small annual budget from $1 million to $8 million in just over two years. It was here that she learned the importance of government and business working together, in order to accomplish sweeping reform.
As a native Texan, Lauren believes that a bipartisan approach is the best way to succeed in government. Lauren has also served as an Adjunct Government Professor where she enjoyed teaching and mentoring college students on world politics. A natural-born entrepreneur, Lauren has served on several public and private sector Boards and continues her volunteer work mentoring women in transition.
Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree and Masters of Public Administration (M.P.A).
