Jennifer N. Devlin

Jennifer Devlin has more than 20 years experience in strategic planning, communications, writing, and media relations, including new media. Over that time, she has built strong relationships with media specialists and reporters in the health care, defense and national security, entertainment, education and transportation fields.

As Vice President of Media Relations for a nationally-recognized public relations firm, she helped craft and implement national media strategies for corporate, government and non-profit clients. Major projects included the Dedication of the FDR Memorial, the Bicentennial of the Library of Congress, the White House Conference on Mental Health, and many more.

From 1997 to 1999, she served in the White House as Director of Communications to Tipper Gore and frequently accompanied Mrs. Gore overseas. She handled press relations for the U.S. Presidential delegation to the Central American region following Hurricane Mitch and the U.S. Presidential delegation to Nagano, Japan for the Winter Olympics. She also served as Press Secretary in the Office of the Vice President, handling press relations for the Vice Presidents annual Family Health Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. Working with Mrs. Gore, she developed op-eds, speeches and media strategies on a variety of issues, including mental health, homelessness, AIDS, and SIDS.

For five years, Jennifer was the Executive Director and spokesperson for the Parents Music Resource Center, a non-profit organization founded by Tipper Gore and Susan Baker, where she appeared on television shows including ABC World News Tonight, CNN, Entertainment Tonight, The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Geraldo Show, and The Morton Downey Jr. Show.

An expert writer, her authored articles and opinion editorials have appeared in Newsweek, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, The Baltimore Sun, and many more publications.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Speech Communications and Radio, Television and Motion Picture. She is listed in Whos Who in Industry and Finance and Whos Who of American Women.
